The certification body Kiwa has determined that the management system applied by COGELSA and its implementation comply with the ISO 21469:2006 standard for the scope: Development, manufacture, sale and distribution of speciality lubricants.

The ISO 21469:2006 standard specifies the hygiene requirements for the formulation, manufacture, use and preservation of lubricants that may come into occasional contact with products and packaging used in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries.

For COGELSA, obtaining ISO 21469:2006 is the highest recognition that a manufacturer of food-grade lubricants can achieve, certifying that its products are manufactured in a clean environment, with the best manufacturing practices and using safe components.

The implementation and certification of this standard as part of our quality management system has allowed us to strengthen our internal processes and organisational culture, ensuring that they are even more robust from a quality and food safety perspective. In addition, adopting this standard allows us to continuously improve, as our products and facilities must be audited annually to maintain certification.

This certification provides our customers with additional proof of the safety of our food grade lubricants. We have been audited by an independent third party to certify that these lubricants meet all the food safety, hygiene and safety requirements of this standard. By purchasing one of our food grade lubricants, our customers have a high quality product, produced in a hygienic environment and in accordance with good manufacturing practices, which will help them to mitigate their risks and ensure the safety of their processes.
